Does your lower back hurt at the end of the day?
If you have back pain in between your doctor visits or at the end of a long workday, try resting in this position. Lie on your back (on a comfortable surface like a yoga mat or blanket) and rest your legs on a chair or stool. Try to find a chair that is the same height as your knees when you are lying down with your hips bent.
This position will take the weight off of your lower back and give it some time to rest. Try it for 10-30 minutes. For added relief put an ice pack or heating pad on your lower back while you rest.
